| Meet the Trainer |

| I've owned dogs my whole life and have always enjoyed training them. My dream was to become a dog trainer and fortunately I found a program through Animal Behavior College. After a year of studying dog behavior, comparing various training methods, and working with area trainers, I became an ABC Certified Dog Trainer (ABCDT). |

I continued my education by reading books, working with area trainers, attending seminars, and completing college courses pertaining to animal health and behavior. I've learned a lot about dog behavior in my 2 years of employment at Just Dogs Playcare, and a lot about training various breeds of dogs from my experience as a group and private training instructor. The most practical and valuable information I've learned was taught to me by my dog Odie, who still continues to teach me today.
In 2006, I became a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), the first national certification for dog trainers in history. |

- 2.5 years as Canine Education Instructor for PETCO
- Veterinary Assisting Program at Kirkwood Community College
- Internship at Whitehawk Veterinarian Clinic
- Pet First Aid/CPR Certification
- Canine Good Citizen Test Evaluator
- Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers
- Attended Aggression in Dogs seminar by Brenda Aloff
- Attended Operant & Classical Conditioning seminar by Jean Donaldson
- Attended Dog Aggression seminar by Suzanne Clothier
- Currently working towards a Masters Degree in Behavior Analysis
- Assisted in hosting a Brenda Aloff 'Reactive Dog' seminar that took place in May 2007, in St. Cloud, MN
- Certified Pet Dog Trainer through Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers
- Filmed in reality TV show 'Honey We're Killing the Kids' and explained how dog training techniques apply to children as well
- 6 months at GrandPaws Place working as a daycare and kennel attendent
